Last week, 22nd – 26th february, primary education students in year 3 and 4 enjoyed of a series of seminars on Interculturality in Education. These sessions are part of the International Days event and take place in Florida Universitària every year. Each degree offers a different module for their students.
Incoming teachers are based in several universities in Europe and English is the language of instruction. This year we held 3 seminars on Interculturality: Anna Zelno explored the Third Culture Kids and their implications in Education. Anna Menn from Jade University of Applied Sciences in Germany went on about Intercultural Communication and, finally, professor John Cornelius from Saxion University in The Netherlands left his pearls of wisdom on The art of developing Intercultural competence. Students who attend the seminars are awarded with 1 ECTS and the possibility to obtain the International Skills Certificate.
